Zillow programers are expecting a higher bandwidth than many of us dial-up users have. Some of the problem is the scripts. For the home pages, you can turn the scripts off before loading the page, as they provide no function unless you are editing or posting a question or photo...
But some of the problem is specific advertisers that think you need to constantly have a new image show up on the screen. Even if it starts repeating, it still loads it again rather than getting the copy out of the Browser Cache. The free downloadable Ad-Blocker for the FireFox browser really helps with this problem. You could also turn off images in your browser, but that would make it so that you couldn't see the value charts. But then, you could just selectively load the chart.
(If an advertiser is so stupid that they think you need to load their images multiple times, you should NEVER buy anything they EVER advertise, as they obviously are wasting everyones money).
