They are not the easiest to get a laon modification but see our success story with them and keep in mind that it is a jumbo loan and rates are lower on a conforming loan one that is under $417,000. Yes, they have mastered Stalling. I have called them since last yr and spoke to them yesterday and they said they will start modifying under the Presidents plan mid Oct.I hoping this time there telling the truth or I will try to short sale or they will Foreclose which seems to be the only thing they can do.

Wachovia is only doing modification to the loans that they own, not the ones that they are servicing. I called today and was told that on May 15th they will be coming up with some new propgrams.

Call them for yourself, but I have not heard of anyone having an easy time with Wachovia.

I just got a wachovia loan mod they took ten percent off my principle 30,000 and 5 years interest only starting at 5 at the end of 5 ears 6.3 fixed. I think maybe could do better Obomas plan whants 4.5 for the mods fixed.

loans at ease with detail modifications are availed through proper mentioned clauses to be preferred.so be sure about the terms,rates,hidden clauses before u go through any sort of deal.

I think you should get a free evaluation from a professional law firm that handles things like this. IF they can pre-qualify you with no up front fee and offer a refund guarantee then that can help you make a better decision. I have heard of some of my clients friends that could not get a loan have gotten really good results. Wachovia can be easy if you have a back door connection. I know a few Wachovia loans get modified pretty easy to where all they wanted current mortgage statement. Again getting that back door econnection is usually with a good law firm or an inside connection of some sort. Good luck to whatver it is you will do.

it will be very hard for you to do it on your own with Wachovia, you need a real estate attorney

We had the worse experience, no communication, no help and never got anywhere. Sorry for the bad news, but Wachovia didn't help us one bit.

I called Wachovia for a friend. There answer was "we are doing no loan modifications at this time." I called HOPE then NACA to verify that this was, in fact, an option for servicers "supposedly" participating in the Plan. Yes, it appears there are stall tactics galore. Has anyone had a different experience in the last few weeks?
