Its important that you are prequalified.I would not recommend a mobile home because your insurance is going to be high,plus if there is a hurricane, a mobile home is not a place you want to own because of the high rate of damage they receive. Look into a condo with hurricane glass or hurricane shutters in place. If you are on the ocean , there are a few issues, like the salt gets to the steel so it has to be replaced, see if that is done if you are purchasing in an older condo unit. Make sure the Home Owner Fees are something you feel comfortable carrying.
