Some people use make me move as a way to list a house for sale without disrupting the tenants. It is like saying, I am ready to receive offers but I have an extra barrier that is preventing me from doing a "for sale" sign. Usually, though, it results in receiving calls from brokers wanting to help you sell the property.

In talking to dozens of homeowners over teh oast 3-4 years who have used Zillow's "Make Me Move" option, most of them: 1) plan or planned to list For Sale By Owner or 2) knew they're asking above-market value but wanted to test the waters or 3) didn't want their friends & family to see the ZEstimate on their property so they thought they would try the MMM option to manipulate the home value.
In a few cases, sellers entered some ridiculous price ($1mil for a $200k property) just for the fun of it.

Make me move is a way a home owner can say, "This house is not formally on the market. But, this is the price at which I would consider selling. So, contact me if this house at this price is interesting to you."

what's make me move?
