All great responses. Make me move, is another way to get a property in front of people that "may" want to move into it. I actually have researched a couple of the make me move properties and they weren't that far off the mark. Overall, it's like a specialty car, or rare baseball card, if a person really wants it, the price actually comes into play second, if at all.

I simply see this as a 'dare' or a 'teaser'.  Something out of the ordinary that will 'make' you want to see this home over the others.  It's intriguing, wouldn't you say?

But the other answers are probably more correct.  Give them what they want and they'll move.  But what they want is probably too much.

Good luck!

The problem with this situation is that many times even if you are willing to pay more than the "market value" for the home because it is exactly what you want and you are willing to pay that much, you cannot get full financing.  Your lender will have the home appraised and if that shows a market value less than the price you wish to pay, they will loan based on the market value not the price.  Not a problem is you are paying cash, or putting a good amount down, but it could wreck the deal if you need a lot of financing.

2max4julia,

Good Afternoon.

Chip is 100% correct. The "homeowner" diplays a price for their property, which is probably more than the market is "asking", but they want for said property, if a price can be agreeded on, you will "Make Them Move". Many times the location or home itself is exactly what a buyer wants and the price won't be the issue. I hope that helps you. Have a BEAUTIFUL day.

The home isn't officially "For Sale".  If you are willing to pay the price then the owner will entertain selling.
