1935:
Jan - Elvis was born
Jan - Amelia Earhart flies solo from Hawaii to California
March - Porky Pig made his debut
May 6th - New Deal was signed.
But on May 19th T.E. Lawrence died in a motorcycle accident in Dorset, England. That's sad; the end of Lawrence of Arabia.
He probably had purchased a home.....and was wondering what it was worth. Had he paid too much?

Hmmm 1935, did you mail a punch card (maybe it got lost in the mail) to someone or call (maybe Maybelle misrouted your call) about it? Zillow wasn't even in business in 1935.

How old were you when you made the request?
Not only is there a statute of limitations on the appraisal but there is an age limit on using the computer. No one 80 or older is allowed.

Never been free, they just wrapped the fee into other fees and they made it look like it was free, it's marketing! Free is easy to sell!

well, as you may of heard: nothing is ever free and it is worth what you paid for?
With that said there are still what you may think of as "Free Appraisals" Many agents will give you a CMA- Current Market Analyis for you to help you determine value or even recomned a price that your home would sell for. Other price valuation may be a Zestimate from this Zillow web site and of course the tax assessor.
Some banks from time to time pay for the appraisal to get your loan. Recently I heard of Washington Trust Bank offering a home equity loan with no appraisal required or if there is one the bank would pay for it.
So quit waiting and look for your Zestimate, your tax valuation or call a Realtor and ask for the price of your home. Hope that helps!
