It depends on the location of the house and how it compares to similar properties in the area.  It could sell in a day if it's the nicest home in the price range or not at all if it can't compete.  It's all about supply and demand and the ratio of buyers to sellers in any given market.

It really is a matter of comparable sales in your area.  You need a recent CMA don't in order to estimate the average time.

The question is pointless. If you put a $225,000 price tag on a 100K home, the selling time will be 20 years... if you put a $225,000 price tag on a million dollar home, you will have multiple offers tomorrow.

KimJerue,

This information can best be found by calling a local Realtor who can quickly do a market analysis and for free!  Good luck!

What area?  Agree with Jim.  Depends on alot of factors.  What are the houses selling in your area for?  What's the condition? etc.  Our area is 134-180.

It depends on many factors, area, condition, agent selection and pricing.  There are homes priced at $225,000 that are not worth it and they can be on the market for a very long time.  I have had homes sell in 1 day both above and below that price.  If a home is prepared for sale correctly, priced right and marketed correctly, I would say, within 30 days, it not, it could be years.
