That will all depend on the life style you are looking for.  Do you want to be close to the beach, downtown, out in the country, near a golf course, do you like HOA's, are you looking for a big yard, small yard, no maint., Townhome. etc.  Lots of questions to ask if you are serious about moving.  There are wonderful placing all around and in in Charleston to live.  I live in Goose Creek in Crowfield Plantation.  And it does not get much better then this in my mind.  So give me a call or email if you are interested  [email and phone removed by Zillow moderator].  I work for Coldwell Banker United.  Hope you find what you are looking for.

There are many great areas in Charleston. It all depends on what you are looking for - schools, price, commute, parks, proximity to beach, downtown, etc. We'd be more than happy to talk to you about your move.
I've included a link to our website below - it's tailored to the Charleston MLS.

Price and commute are usually the 2 biggest factors in determining where to live in Charleston. One of the best areas in the under $225K range is Summerville because you can get a lot of house for the money and it offers a nice, small town feel.  Depending on traffic, it's about 40 minutes from Downtown Charleston.  You can read more about Summerville at [Hotlinks removed by Zillow moderator. Hi Farah,

Congratulations on your upcoming move! The Charleston area has so much to offer, you will be thrilled with your decision to move here. I would love to recommend that you look at Daniel Island on your next trip to Charleston. Daniel Island is a picturesque and peaceful area of Charleston. There are parks and bike paths, neighborhood pools, and a fantastic downtown area. There are shops, restaurants, and parks all within walking distance from many homes here. There is a wonderful public school on the island, and most children walk or bike to school. Living here is such a special way of life, I would love to show you our little island town next time you visit!

Best Regards,
Angie Johnson

There are a lot of homes for sale in Charleston SC and you have to look into several considerations when choosing the perfect home for your family -- how wide you want the area to be, how many rooms do you need, the community you want to be a part of, etc.

You may consider looking up for some Real Estate companies online or ask for recommendations from friends who live or used to live in the area. If you decided to contacta Real Estate company, it is always best to speak with a Charleston-based Realtor to give you a detailed information of the place you are looking into.

You can get into a nice neighborhood and home in just about any area but will get more bang for the buck in Berkeley or Dorchester County.

A lot will depend on preferences but I would suggest starting your search here.

Charleston County has some very nice areas but the prices are upwards. The $70k will land you the lower end there. You can however, finds pockets that will get you into a nice home.

Sometimes the better approach is to determine where you and any other family members will work and for your relocation strategy accordingly.

You will need to talk to a reputable realtor who can help you make the best relocation choice for your family. A lot depends on what your needs are.  Do schools matter?  Commute times from A to B.  Price point, etc.
