You said "I still would not sell to you... You are wasting my time as well as the sellers... I was flabbergasted.... I will not ever deal with either company again... I have the right to see.."
Why do you think that they do not want you to see the inside and why do you think it is discrimination?
It seems more likely that the agent does not have a deal with the bank to sell at the listed price and may be using the MLS listing and the "lack of offers" as a rationale for twisting the banks arm to accept a lower listing price instead.

yes i am unlikely to find another agent of anysirt.. i am not uneducated thanks for the conspiracy theory but an agent fron the hills of north carolina just tryin to get by is not likely to help me in iowa either.. to tis day the home sits vacant.. and the buyers agen listing is siys making no money... for yout informayion tjos property records take months and hundreds in fees as well as transportation for the search... they are not online free to all in all communities... believe it or not there are rural areas not able to afford to keep their post offices open so they sure cant afford the transition to full access.. yes i have been down that road previously..

Welcome to the high stakes world of real estate where the majority of professional participants were probably fired from used (severely) car dealerships.
You seem unlikely to look for a qualified buyer's agent, who would solve this dilemma for you.
Therefore, to you, and others who encounter this same issue, utilize the internet to find the tax records and the property owner of record. Then you try to find the owner, either by waiting outside the home, or looking for phone information, facebooking them, or just writing a good old fashioned letter (with nice penmanship). Explain your interest, and the agent's lack of response. An owner who is not currently Flying Over the Cuckoo's Nest will either fire their agent, and locate a new one, or directly contact you. I know it may take a little longer, but just think how satisfying it will be to knock that smug look of the incompetent agent that won't call you.
Or better, for all the honest hardworking real estate professionals who use this site, you'll be doing them a favor by helping to call attention to the stumbling idiots who give real estate a reputation on par with the IRS, Wall Street, and Multi-Level Marketing Water Filter salespeople COMBINED!

I called a listing agent to find out more information on a property for sale.
After calling me back (he had my phone number) I asked what the property had for road frontage and the actual size of the house. I left my email address also. 2 weeks later no reply has arrived. With no response from the agent and a big stump with a light pole on it to close to the driveway I think I will forget about that particular property.

That seems to be the route these agents, are taking.. And the first agent is in face a buyers agent. With the remax name. The second one being with century 21.. The attitude I received from both of them is discriminatory.. One said there was an open offer on the property.. The other said it was a short sale property....and that there was people living in the home... However this is untrue... I live just blocks from the home which is vacant and Still. On the mls listing as for sale... I inquired in June. And was denied. I flat out asked of I offered the owner 100000.00 cash from my pocket of I would still be rejected a view of the inside the agent said yes.. I still would not sell to you... You are wasting my time as well as the sellers... I was flabbergasted.... I will not ever deal with either company again... I have the right to see.. Or purchase as any other person does...

I think you should find a Realtor that is as resposive as you are. I have a some clients that do not return calls either. a good match of client/realtor is key to have a smooth transaction. if you have a Realtor, have them do the work for you.

Hello,I know this is late but the same thing happened to me. One listing agent wouldnt respond so I left a message comin the genneral office phone number and he responded. He then made an appointment with me and did not show. Another listing agent answered the phone and when I asked about the property for sale he sarcastically asked if I wanted to see it right then. I told him yes and he quickly said ill call you back and hung up without taking my number. He did not call me back. I went to HUD with the issue.

A Buyer Agent is a REALTOR (real estate agent) who represents the best interests of their clients who are buying a home. They CAN help you find a home, but the best reason to hire an agent to represent you in the purchase of a home is so that you have a professional on your side who can help you decide what to offer and navigate you through the home buying process, negotiating on YOUR behalf. Best part, is that in most cases you do NOT pay for this representation- a Buyer Agent is paid at time of close from the commission paid by the Seller/Listing Agent.
And to answer your original question, in most areas ANY agent can tell your about ANY home for sale. Ask any of your friends/family who have recently bought a home and they can recommend their agent. Or, just call any agent from any sign you see and tell them the address(es) of the homes you are interested in. They can look them up on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) and give you pretty much any info you need, including more pictures.
I hope this helps, and good luck!

Purplerose,
The other posts are trying to give you a valid message here. The agent who lists a property is working on behalf of the Seller, and represents the Seller's best interests always. You would be better served to pick an agent independently to represnt YOU, and your best interests. This agent would not look at the property on your behalf. He/she would make an appointment to show you the property. Your agent would have other phone numbers available to them as well as more MLS information to be able to find out what is going on with the property and be able to contact someone directly. I am sorry you feel that you are only be sold something. As a Buyer, you do not pay the agent, so being a wealthy person or not has nothing to do with using an agent to buy a property and you get some great info by doing so.

You can contact any real estate agent. Alot of times it is best not to work with the listing agent because they can't represent your best interest. Contact someone else and they can obtain any information on the property that you would like to have

again .. NO .. if i wanted to hire someone to look at a property FOR me .. i dont NEED to bother ..
a realtor is hired to SELL the property .. they list properties for people to LOOK at .. if an agent was there for MY interests .. they WOULD NOT CHARGE and would be in ALL communities and there would be no nneed to hire a realtor to sell a home ...
i did not ask who to hire .. period .. the home owner is LOSING money .. 2 particular propertied have gone down in price 3 times since date of listing .. how is an agent going to help that .. im not looking for negotiations .. i AM educated enough to know what is fair
a reality name such as re/max should call anyone back no matter who works for them .. not everyone is a millionair to hire shoppers .. or there wouldnt be housing in varied price ranges
thanks again for trying to sell something
it seems to me everyone has someone to answer to if they carry a companies name should they not have standards to hold up to?

Get an agent/Broker to work for you and to show you the interiors and negotiate the purchase price, closing costs, warranties, escrow timeframe and all timeframes of contingencies. Any local agent/broker has access to all the homes for sale. Get approved for the financing that best fits your financial needs before shopping and your off to write offers on the homes of your choice.

if the house or actually houseS werent for sale then they would not be listed and updated in remax century 21 zillow or trulia websites
.. as for an agent i dont see how an agent would get an unanswered phone answered faster than i ... if getting info from a realtor is ONLY privy to a highly paid agent .. should this info not be public?
it appears to me this is not going to answer my question .. only try to sell me something i do not want .. might i add if i were an above average person seeking to pay someone else to shop for me i wouldnt have asked the initial question .. thanks all for your time i dont see using this forum again

There = location. Over there.
Their = possession. Their car.
They're = they are.

A Buyers Agent represents the buyer (you) in a transaction, and looks out for your best interest. A Sellers Agent represents the seller in a transaction and has the best interest of the seller at hand. A Dual Agent represents both the seller and buyer in a transaction.
I agree with the other comments posted, that you sould find a Realtor to represent you. Realtors can act as a buyers agent and/or a sellers agent, so any Realtor can represent you. Ask a few friends and/or family members if they can recommend a Realtor to you.
What city is the property located in? If you list the city in your question, chances a good that you might get a reply from a good agent here on Zillow!
Good Luck!

"if you need a referral just let me know" - THIS translates to English as "I will call a couple of agents and get one of them to give me 30% of the commission for putting you in contact.
DO NOT give a lazy agent a commission this way!

Does the agent have the property listed? You would be better off having your own Buyer Agent instead of someone representing you and the Buyer. Also, are you looking to buy or rent? I do get requests off the internet for rentals, but I represent Buyers and do not handle rentals.

Thanks for your question "apurpleroze". Do you have a buyer's agent working for you? That would help out tremendously, .
Hope this helps, good luck.
