Just remember, some of the rentals posted are "scams" by people that have no legal authority to rent out anything and no connection to the property of any kind. Screen them well before giving them anything.
Besides, it makes absolutely no sense to fill out any application form if you have not previewed the property previously! Why would you want some stranger running a credit check on you and having your social security number that they can abuse? You probably don't even want them having your phone number nor employment information if you are not actually going to be their tenant.
