I use tax star to get information in our area...the information however is based on the price paid prior to foreclosure and is not deemed accurate as it is not based on current appraised values...why do you ask?

however, if you are working with an agent, you can find the info on the listings he/she sends you...

I always double check the tax assessor when my clients have interest in a particular home, to be sure the figure on the listing is accurate :)

most towns have this info available on their websites...if you are looking outside of stamford, just google "xyz tax assesor" and replace the xyz with the town you are interested in :))

Here you will be able to search by address to obtain the tax information as well as the field card that describes square footage and sales history. I hope this is helpful to you. If you are working with a Realtor, then they can provide that information. Otherwise, you can call the assessor's office for the town the property is located in and they will be able to give you that figure.
