where do i look or go to acquire a land loan? it will be unsecured and under $50,000.

Profile picture for Scapaltal
I took out a $43,000 loan 2 years ago to acquire 4 acres of land on which to eventually build.  The loan was a home equity loan.  I am attempting to sell my home now.  Unfortuately the home has deflated to the point that the sale would pay off the 1st mortgage, but not the second (heloc) for the land.  I don't have the cash to pay off the land loan, but would like to continue paying monthly installments to pay it off.  Unfortunately I can't go ahead with the sale of the home until the second mortgage is resolved so I'm in a catch 22!  I am in an appartment now without any home equity to put up for another heloc lone.  Any suggestions?
