where do the pictures come from

There are several pictures of our home for sale in the MLS listing.  Does zillow not pull the photos from MLS (only one picture is showing in zillow)?

Not sure about Zillow but the photos on the MLS are copyrighted so if any entity copied the photo from the MLS that would be a breach of copyright law.

Most photos come from the agent's listing. Photoscan be added through the edit funtion. Photos added in this manner will stay after the listing is no longer active.

It depends on the specific home and specific listing. We get listings from thousands of different sources.

It sounds like in your case the broker's feed that sends us the listing only includes 1 photo. If you'd post your address, or email me (spencer at zillow dot com), I can ask the feed provider to add more photos to their feed (it's free). Or you can tell your agent to check it out.

It appears your agent is not using the MLS for their syndication.

Your listings is coming to us through your agent's participation and advertising effort in The Real Estate Book.  Unfortnately they only give us one photo, and not all that are in their system.

There is a way a for your agent's broker to opt in to having their listing syndicated from the MLS, but it requires them to activate the service (which is free).  Your agent's broker can call the MLS and get more information about it.  I beleive their MLS uses a service called ListHub to do it.  Then that richer data feed would trump this one with only one photo.

PS - As the owner, you can claim your home on Zillow and upload more photos.  Also, if your agent creates a free account on Zillow, they can do this as well.

Good luck!

Yes, Zillow does pull the photos over from the mls only if your agent has it set up through an ancillary site such as Postlets.com or Point2.  Also, your agent must have an account with Zillow in order for this to happen and when they do your home will come up as a Premiere Listing always showcasing itself near the top of the consumers search list for that zip code.  This option is a great feature when trying to sell a listing.   Let me know if you have anymore q's.
