If you have a property address, you can discover who owns it by checking at the local tax assessors office. Sometimes they have access to that info online on a website. If not, you can visit their office in person and request the info. A real estate agent may also have access to that information through professional service websites they have business access to. You can also look up the owner if you have the Assessor's Parcel Number (or "APN"). Different counties have differing ways of keeping their information sorted and listed, so it is sometimes difficult to look it up, but you will find it. Also, who the owner is isn't the most important piece of information when wanting to buy a home, so don't let that stop you from trying to buy.
GOOD LUCK!

Information that you request can be found at your local tax assessor online. It will not only uncover the owner but also if taxes are current or  in the rears

Anyone can go online to their county tax assessors web site to find out public information, as to answer the question "who owns this house".
Best of luck.

If you want to buy a house directly from the owner, you need more than a name. You can find out the ownership history, current property tax status, outstanding mortgage, lender information, possible liens and foreclosure record within minutes by online service as [deleted by Zillow moderator.]All you need is the house address to start the property record search. If you want to download the report, you only pay a small fee.

a local realtor can pull up the public records for you pretty easy for you, would take about 1 minute to do it.

Welcome to Zillow.

Your comment isn't associated with a particular house (in addition Zillow doesn't release owners' names).    But, you can go to your county assessor's office and find the information.  Often they have websites.
