I recently bought a home in Detroit.  I got a great for around 6k.  I need about another 6k for rehab but now its in great condition.  Not sure if you can get a home in the $100 range though.  I bought my house from Sharif Landers.  He knows everything about real estate in Detroit.

Are you talking about the 100 dollar down program with HUD?
www.HudHomeStore.com is a source you can use if that is what you are looking for.

Are you Native American Indians or Indians from India? There are special home buying/loan programs for Native American Indians. If you are a foreign buyer, there are other tax issues you need to know before buying.

While there are homes for sale at low prices in Detroit, I'm not sure they are $100, that could be a rental rate. I do know of homes going for ~$30-40K in Detroit.

IDX feeds from other websites have problems when the listings indicate both for sale and for rent.  It comes into sites like this as "for sale" but listing the rent amount.

As far as Detroit?  The city is filing for bankruptcy due to the jobs and people "leaving".

One can buy "cheap", but not quite $100.  But most will not be able to afford to live there.

What does your family being from India have to do with anything?  Perhaps you are referring to the term "indian giving" where one gives something away but then takes it back without any notice nor compensation?
