why has the value of our home gone down the past few weeks.

we also own 40' of the empty lot alongside our property - it has been added to our residence lot by the county. Has been this way for the past 6 years - your records do not show the 40' as being part of our residence. We have added sprinkler system front, sides and back, a well for irrigation all down 6 years ago. Yet Zillow has our property valued the lowest on our street. Please explain why. Thanking you in advance. Several months ago our property was not the lowest.

The County did a recent assessment for the entire County. Ours assessed value increased since their last assessment - as did all of our neighbors properties. As we indicated earlier we have added 40 foot to our lot which the County assesses separately even though it is now part of our structures property. All of our neighbors property values on Zillow have increased while ours has decreased. We still cannot figure out why. We don't know where Zillow gets their information from but in this real estate market and current economy for our value to go down while everyone elses to increase does not make any sense. Please explain why.
Thank you for your response.

Did your county do a recent assessment?  This is usually the reason that property values change.  What have been the recent sale prices in your area?  This coupled with a recent assessment would surely affect your price.
