Well my tax assessment that I just received for 07/01/11-06/30/2012 was $158,800 and I have a copy of it if you want a .pdf. Why am I paying taxes for more property value than my Zestimate? Which is unfortunately what lenders are looking at when I am applying for home equity loans. You guys are messing up my finances because of your out of date assessments.

The short answer is that your Zestimate is low because you bought a short sale for a depreciated value. As a result, you new taxes, assessment and purchase price are likely to be low too. All Zillow has to rely on is numbers so low numbers tend to lead to a lower than average Zesitmate.
Speaking from experience, those numbers will rebound as more houses like yours sell for higher prices. Zillow will track the price of your home up over time, but if you bought low your Zestimate will most likely remain lower overall unless they see a change in your assessed value or a new sale price from what I have seen.
