Are you saying that you went into home facts, added square footage and some improvements and the net result was a negative to your Zestimate?
Was the improvement one of the default items or did you add something in the "other" catagory.  In the "other" catagory you have to enter both the cost and the value.   If you didn't enter the value, you may get a negative number but if that isn't it, I'm as confused as you are.
Note that in the default catagories the value is less the than the cost.  Talk to a RE pro about the value of any improvements you are making in the "other" catagory or look at Remodeling Magazine's Cost vs Value Report.
