If someone wanted to rent out their existing home, it would already be advertised that way.

In a "falling market", most sellers are better off selling sooner rather than having an asset that will be worth less later.

As discussed on many thread, renting out not only is a lot of work and expense, but often creates more damage than the rental income.

A rental business is not for all people.  The landlord's mortgage is not paid by the renter.  The landlord often ends up subsidizing the living expenses of the tenant.
