What is your opinion on mandatory Home Owner?s Associations?

Love the idea of keeping homes consistent & nice but hate the fees.

Great way to ensure homes stay in good repair & fees maintain storm water runoff ponds.

Not crazy about them but they are a necessary evil to maintain continuity & the environment.

Just a way for Townships to get HOA?s to do their work for them and still collect taxes.
