Hi - I'm a potential first time homebuyer. I know there were some great deals in the last year, but now I'm hearing that all these homes in my price range (lower end) are being snapped up by investors with 100% cash.

I've got good credit, plenty for downpayment, etc. but this area still seems really overpriced (around Alexandria or further south).

If anyone knows any realtors in the NOVA area, please contact me so we can talk. I'm totally clueless and it seems Zillow's listings are not too accurate.

How to finance a REO property?

There is a REO property that I am interested in. The property is in a bad shape inside and needs a complete remodeling including the replacement of ALL appliances. It is basically unlivable in the current condition it is. If I buy this property it is going to be my primary residence (I am currently renting).

I do not have enough for a down payment and the a remodeling expenses, so my question is, having an excellent credit, no debt, and good earning will a lender finance the remodeling cost in addition to the price of the house?

we have a 4 bedroom single family colonial located just outside of Charles Town, WV. The home is has a 2 car garage, unfinished basement, and is located 10 minutes from Marc Train making it an easy commute into DC. I have pics if interested.
