How does a property for sale get onto Zillow?

I know of a number of properties for sale (two on my block) that don't appear on Zillow. How does a property for sale get onto Zillow? Does Zillow watch unified real estate listings? Internet postings? Do realtors and/or sellers request listings to be put on Zillow?

Maxwell Park - do young families plan on staying? Neighborhood involvement?

From what I've been hearing, a lot of people have moved to Maxwell Park in the last 5 years. I am assuming that many would be professionals and familes priced out of areas like Redwood Heights and Crocker Highlands. Neighborhoods can change for the better and for the worse and I'm interested in hearing from MP residents about the following:

Are there a lot of families with babies and prechool age children in the neighborhood, and do you plan on staying there when your children reach school age? I know that the neighborhood schools do not have great reviews, but like Edna Brewer in Glenview, high parent involvement can change that.

Secondly, are people going to be able to stay their if they have ARMs that are re-setting? Has this wave already passed?

Last, but importantly, is there a high level of community involvement to keep the neighborhood looking nice and crime low?

I'm thinking of buying a home near Outlook and 76th ave and am wondering if the crime in the area will overwhelm me. Is this a concern I should invest much time into?
