Is it better to reglaze tile in a tub surround or should it be replaced?

The master bathroom is ion need of work. The tiles in the tub surround are an ugly shade of grey and so is the tub. Can they both be reglazed to a different color? Is it worth it to reglaze the tile which is in very good condition?
The floor will be getting new 12x12 tile to replace the 6x6 that is already there.

Should I tile the entire bathroom?

We just retiled the childrens/guest bathroom which about 6x9 and has 8 foot high ceilings. My wife wants to get more of the tile and have the contractor do the whoile bathroom all the way to the ceiling. I think that would be a bit much and will look outdated withing a few years. I suggested tile halfway up the wall like a chairrail but she's not thrilled about that. Any suggestions?

Can I include a bedroom if it's in the basement?

The basement is fully finished with a family area, 3/4 bathroom, and wet bar that could become a second kitchen. It's not a walkout.
We live in New Jersey. Can the bedroom be counted as a 4th bedroom and can the basement be counted in the home's square footage if it's not a walkout?

We want to remodel the master bathroom with a new tile tub surround and a new tile floor. I was also thinking keeping the vanity and just replaceing the doors, countertop with sink, and a faucet. I figured it should cost between $3000-$4000 for the whole thing witha professional doing the tile work.

Does it make sense in todays market? The bathroom we have no is still in good shape but a bit outdated. Would it better to hold off? Not looking t sell the housein the near future either.
