Does Charter Pointe in Boise, ID generally smell like manure?

I was looking to buy a home in the Charter Pointe neighborhood, but the smell of manure on this particular day was overpowering. Indeed, it looks like the local elementary school was built right next to a dairy farm. Was this an unusual experience? Or does the community generally smell of manure? I can't believe an elementary school would be built right next door if the smell was so pervasive.

How do I update the status of a listing from active to sold?

This particular home was sold last year and its status is sold on MLS but is advertised for sale on Zillow. What steps should I take to update this listing status?

I watched my home values rise when my agent told me noy home would seel at any price. They are now falling sharly again. I wonder it that is becuase homes are now selling, all be if foreclosed at cents on the dollar. If so i guess that is a good sign becuase when unemployment eventually declines so will the foreclosures, We are at 11% where my homes are right now. My understanding is in my area home prices are set by comps and comps alone. Many foreclosures mean falling comps. Whereas no sales at all mean no data at all. What do folk think? Optimistic in adversity of Idaho

It says Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae required. What does that mean?

When I look at a the details of a loan quote it says Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae backing required - yes. I don't want a government loan, I don't need PMI, I have excellent credit...I don't get it!
