These moves are employee benefits and it is very important to have a conversation about the process before you say yes to that new job. For instance if your company (or a new company) wants you to move across the US here is a few things to discuss with your new boss, employer, or the HR person:

-Will you pay for packing, moving my items (including your vehicles), and unpack in the new home (this is a stressful time and you do not need to be packing/unpacking)

-Will you buy my house? When? How? Will you pay for my loss? (because if you bought a home in the past few years you will have a loss)

-Will you pay for my Realtor?

-Will you pay for travel back and forth until I move my family?

-Have you pulled your credit to see if you can buy a new home?

-What happens when, how, where, and why? Ask one more question then you think is enough!

The move is more important or at least just as important as the salary! Having your family in one state and you in another is not a good life. Having a home in NC rented and you renting a home for you to live in AR is not a good thing either. If you have questions please call me anytime before you say yes to the job!

1 reply Sat, 15 Oct 2011 19:27:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Moving-for-a-job/419397/ 2011-10-15T19:27:00Z Is this home for sale, who do i call http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Is-this-home-for-sale-who-do-i-call/259678/ 0 replies Thu, 23 Jul 2009 15:24:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Is-this-home-for-sale-who-do-i-call/259678/ 2009-07-23T15:24:00Z What type of neighborhood is this home in ? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/What-type-of-neighborhood-is-this-home-in/254599/ 1 reply Fri, 10 Jul 2009 02:17:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/What-type-of-neighborhood-is-this-home-in/254599/ 2009-07-10T02:17:00Z Buy Now? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Buy-Now/252282/ You bet you should! WIth the $8,000 first time buyer tax incentive, lower insurance rates for home owners, and low interest rates buying now is smart! You always want to buy when others do not...if you wait until everyone wants to buy you will pay more, have lost equity (from not paying it down), and could have higher interest. 10 years from now you will say "man, I should have bought back in 2009"

7 replies Thu, 02 Jul 2009 22:41:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Buy-Now/252282/ 2009-07-02T22:41:00Z I HAVE AN EQUITY INTEREST IN A PROPERTY AND I WANT TO LIST IT 4 SELL, CAN I LEGITMATLY LIST IT HERE. http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/I-HAVE-AN-EQUITY-INTEREST-IN-A-PROPERTY-AND-I-WANT-TO-LIST-IT-4-SELL-CAN-I-LEGITMATLY-LIST-IT-HERE/231198/ 2 replies Tue, 05 May 2009 01:06:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/I-HAVE-AN-EQUITY-INTEREST-IN-A-PROPERTY-AND-I-WANT-TO-LIST-IT-4-SELL-CAN-I-LEGITMATLY-LIST-IT-HERE/231198/ 2009-05-05T01:06:00Z
