AGENTS: Good news. Full commissions on short sales through Fannie

Don't you hate it when the banks start arbitrarily cutting commissions on short sales? Well, as of March 1, any bank dealing with a Fannie Mae backed loan can no longer cut your commissons. Provided the total commissions are not in excess of 6-percent of the sales price. [Sounds like price fixing?]

But at least the banks can no longer ignore legal, valid listing contracts. And we are no longer asked to cut our commission when the bank is figuring out it's net.

Why does Zillow clump different sub-divisions as one?

The Marshbrooke sub-division in Matthews, NC (a suburb of Charlotte) is not the same as Callaway Plantation or many of the other sub-divisions close to Marshbrooke. Property values, facilities, age and HOA are totally different. Zillows records needs to be updated with this information.

$6500 Tax Credit and Rental Property

We recently sold our primary residence, which we lived in for 7 years. We also have a rental property that we bought in 2006 â€“ we have had tenants in it since then. Are we eligible for the $6500 tax credit since we lived in our primary residence for over 5 yrs? Or will our rental property keep us from qualifying?

My house is displayed in a different neighborhood than my neighbors.

According to Zillow, all my neighbors are in the Highland Creek Neighborhood
(and thus have a higher home value).

My house is displayed in the "West Sugar Creek/WT Harris"
neighborhood, which is actually way south from here. The Highland Creek
Neighborhood is somewhat to the north.

The zestimate for my house is 121,000. At the rare instances when I
am able to select one an actual nearby home for price comp, the "owners
estimate" jumps to 170,000. Typically I am offered comps that are far from
here and would drag my "owner's estimate" further down.

What is going on? Any way to move my home into the correct neigborhood?
