3/1 ARM, originated in 2003, present rate is 3.875% (adjusts again spring of 2010). Loan balance is 188k, purchase price was 224k and estimated value is 380k (my estimate based on comps). The property is in Arlington, VA (NOVA) its a 2 bed/2bath, 1500 sqft, condo (only a 6 unit building) built town home style. I would like to think I am staying put in the area (fed-gov employee) and may want to lease out and look to buy SFH.

I (H-1B status, just effective this Oct.) and my boyfriend (F-1 status, Phd) plan to buy a condo around $250,000. We have $125,000 in hand for the down-payment. I make $33,000 per year, and my boyfriend gets $23,000 fellowship per year as an RA in his University. We have no loan, no credit card debt. Very good credit score. Can we get a $125,000 mortgage? Does a F-1 visa holder qualify as a borrower as well? Thanks!

my house is improperly listed -- and Zillow provides NO ONE TO CONTACT!

There's a home for sale with my street number, but south, not north. Now the data is linked to my house. And, Zillow provides NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYONE to correct this problem. That sucks. I'm tempted to delist all my properties and go elsewhere. This kind of mistake is a bad sign for the quality of this service -- if not fixed, Zillow will be out of business pretty soon.

For Sale by Owner/PMI and other questions

Looking to purchase a house that is for sale by owner and the owner is willing to finance for up to 5 years at 5% no PMI. Amount of loan is $461K. Does this seem like a good deal..just worried if interest rates increase, could be pretty bad when try to refiance. Also, how does that work exactly for FSBO and they finance....will a bank get the mortgage after 5 years? Thanks in advance.

How do I change my review of a lender?

To whom it may concern.

One of your lenders keeps sending me emails after reviewing them asking me to change my review. They have sent me 7 emails in the last 4 days and I have decided to change the review. Here is just a sample of what they sent to me.

I am a Christian man and my honesty and hard work is reflected in my reviews. I try to be the lender that will give you great service at reasonable fees. I just closed a loan for a man in NJ today. He was in his 80's and he was difficult to win over. I surprised him a week from closing when I floated his rate down 0.25 points. He was shocked as this never happened to him before. I will send you his comment after the closing.

I truly am sorry if I disappointed you, but it wasn't because I was not interested. Thursday was my first day I felt OK and actually had to work about 14 hours to catch up with quotes and other tasks. I was emailing all the replies that I was sick and would get to their quotes if they were still interested and didn't yet settle on a lender. One guy I am working with commented on how responsive I am now, but at first was wondering why I hadn't responded. I told him the same … that I was sick.

Please don't do this to my Zillow rating. It is the key to my success. If you give me another chance, I know you will be happy with my services and response time.

What can be done when Zillow has false pictures and wrong recent sales info about my property.

The listing has correct MLS pictures, but the initial picture that Zillow shows does not correspond to the property. Zillow also shows the property as being recently sold in 4/2009 when it was in reality last sold in 1998. Zillow had false information before the property was listed so I suspect the data was entered regarding a totally different property and erroneously linked to this one.

This is a highly misleading ad, from a builder posting a price on a home that's not currently sale, but suggesting that he can build similar homes on your lot.

This is a misuse of Zillow - and I would not trust this contractor at all.

Why is size of a rambler with a finisheshed basements figured only for the ground level floor?.City says I have 1180 sq feet. This clearly does not include the fully finished basement rooms: family room, full bath, bedroom, and laundry, which would double my square feet. What's the correct approach? The bedroom has full windows above the exterior grade. The laundry has the exit door. What's the correct calculation?
