Update bathrooms or finish basement?

My wife and I have a 3bd/2bath house in Harford County MD. Both bathrooms are relatively small and outdated, and the kitchen has some updates, and the basement is completely unfinished. For adding to the value of the home, what would be best, to update both bathrooms or to finish the basement?

If we do the basement we will add one full bathroom, a finished laundry room, entertainment area space for a pool table, and a spare guest bedroom. It will add about 1300 square feet of living space.

Both updates will be done eventually, but which project adds the most value to the house?

I've heard that Aberdeen Proving Grounds is hiring a lot of people and I own a end unit townhome with a garage a few miles away, how can I find out if someone needs a home to rent or maybe even rent out the 'apartment' that I have just finished in the lower level? It has it's own enterance as well as a small kitchen area. Plus a place to park on the side of the driveway, off street. As I might be moving out of state or even country, will know more by August. But would like to at least rent out the lower level (there are 3 fully furnished levels). Does anyone know of someone that might need a place to rent, close to Harford Community College as well...

I've seen on "Renovation Nation" (TV show) that people are buying things from houses that are going to be torn down or forclosed and selling everything in it. It's a great GREEN idea and I would like to know if there are anyone doing this in the N. Baltimore area? Hopfully in Harford County area would be fabulous. I would like to get into this business as well, think it is the best way to recycle and go "green" as well as saving consumers a lot of money!

May I ask why the home is priced $25,000 higher than the most recent comp?

Considering the Bel Air market has declined 12% over the last year and is now considered a "declining market" in the appraisers guide, have you had the home professionally appraised? Although your home seems well taken care of, my concern is that it will not appraise for $191 per square ft (above grade) relative to the $171 per sq ft the most recent comp sold for. I have recently seen a much larger and newer brick townhome in Bel Air with many builder upgrades appraise for $156/ sq ft.

The Zillow map is showing 304 Plumtree Rd. as being on S. Tollgate Rd. The problem is my house (304 Plumtree Rd.) is much bigger and your estimate is under valued! Please contact me and I can disucss this further with a Zillow representive. Please understand this is showing my house grossly under its value and I need that corrected!

a link to my page returns page not found error because it adds a / to the end of the URL

http://www.owners.com/wtp9052/ How do I get rid of the end slash, i don't put it there it appears on the URL line when it tries to load the page and returns error message "page not found". If I remove the slash from the URL address and refresh the page it works. It just started doing it within the last 10 days, before then it worked fine

The correct house for 555 Rock Spring is the split foyer on the right if you're facing the house.

Zillow estimate for 460,000. asking price is 320000. will 300000 be too low of a offer or can i go to 290-280K. home is in decent condition needs a little of work but nothing major.

Was it formerly a Savings & Loan? When did it close?

This building has always intrigued me, and it's been closed for as long as I've lived in the area, which is practically my whole life. Recently, I asked my mom what it was and she thinks it was a Savings&Loan, be she's not 100% sure. She's thinks it's been closed for twenty years or more, but once again she's not 100% sure.
