I have a 1 bed/1 bath with approximately 725 sq. ft condo, 1 blk E. of U.S.1 on Middle River Drive (central to everything). I owe about $80K on my first mortgage and about $33K on my second one. Not sure now with the home values, especially condos, how much my condo is worth. Zillow estimated about $90-99K. We had a condo unit that sold in my building for $145 two years ago. But my neighbor listed her unit (which is exactly the same square footage like mine) for sale about a year and a half ago, and she still hasn't sold her unit. With this real estate market being slow, I don't know if I should I wait to sell my place until the market starts getting better? Who knows when this will happen? My monthly expense just to pay for my unit is about $900.00. If I were to rent it, I'd be lucky if I can get $900 or $800 even (just to help me pay my bills). Rentals are not allowed in the building (but people do it anyways) and my unit doesn't have central A/C but a wall unit. I don't know if I will have a hard time selling my condo considering the market and the fact that those factors (no rentals and no central A/C) are not attractive... I know that units have been sold before when the market was still decent, but now that the market is slow... I'm not sure what to do. I owe more than my unit is worth... I'm considering including my unit in my bankruptcy, but don't know if it's worth holding on to it or not. What do you think I should do??? I'd appreciate your comments and input.

2 replies Wed, 28 Oct 2009 14:40:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Should-I-sell-my-place/292198/ 2009-10-28T14:40:00Z Is this a multi family dwelling, and can it be shown? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Is-this-a-multi-family-dwelling-and-can-it-be-shown/292317/ I live in that area, and I am looking for a change.

1 reply Wed, 28 Oct 2009 20:23:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Is-this-a-multi-family-dwelling-and-can-it-be-shown/292317/ 2009-10-28T20:23:00Z would you be willing to rent to own or hold the mortgage? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/would-you-be-willing-to-rent-to-own-or-hold-the-mortgage/292288/ email Angelswidrtifcs@live.com
Mary Anne is my name

1 reply Wed, 28 Oct 2009 18:54:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/would-you-be-willing-to-rent-to-own-or-hold-the-mortgage/292288/ 2009-10-28T18:54:00Z At 62 yrs old, should I buy a home or keep on renting? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/At-62-yrs-old-should-I-buy-a-home-or-keep-on-renting/262599/ I qualify as a first buyer having sold my home 5 yrs ago.
