I just received an update alert email from zillow.com and it had the s.f. for my home as 2400. I'm afraid this is what my Zestimate is based on. The actual s.f. for my home is 4500 plus finished basement space of an additional 1200 s.f. How can i get this Zestimate information updated? I'm afraid it might be scaring people away from my listing.

What does one do when Zillow has greatly underestimated the value of one's home?

Similar homes in my area have sold for less but I have the best, prime lot in the area which backs up to a forest preserve and has a pond view. My home is also completely updated with regard to bathrooms and kitchen, has a new furnace, etc. etc. These are things Zillow can't know but a prospective buyer/ lender is still going to look at the Zillow site.

why the zestimate price and the price being shown in the first search page different (zestimate 625,500, first page 605,000) ???

When I last checked the price of my home (address in subject line) about a month ago, the Zillow estimate was $787,539. This estimate was consistent with a number of checks I made going back a year or two on the same property.

Today, the Zillow estimate of this same property is $963,500! And historical prices going back a year or two have been restated consistent with this higher amount.

Why did the estimated value of this home change so much from a month ago (i.e., $963,500 vs. $787,539)?
