What can anyone tell me about the Balboa Law Group?

Received a letter from them saying that I was eligible for a loan modification. I called and was told they could save me $500.00 a month but would have to pay $3000 up front. I looked online and saw both good and bad posting about this group. The company name looks like it has changed a couple of times.

Has anyone had any dealing with them?

My agent said the offer wouldn't be accepted if I asked for fees to be paid by seller. Is this normal in todays CA market or did I get bad advice?

If i cannot get a refi due to declining property values could i get a loan modification to lower my rate? i have excellent credit and am not having problems paying. I just want to lower my interest rate.

since my husband's name does come up, is it legal for me to click on his name to claim the home as mine? I am a legal owner, but the site does not show my name for the ownership. The info on Zillow is not up-to-date, we added on and remodeled all existing.

Why do you list Hillview Continuation High School for this address? It is more than incorrect.

Hillview is not only in a different school district for this address.....it is not a regular school. Students that attend a Continuation High School have challenges (often disciplinary) that require a more structured setting than a conventional school. The correct high school, the one that follows the Chapman Hill/ Santiago Middle School path in the Orange Unfied School District is El Modena High School.
