my bank recently sent an appraiser to my home because we wanted a HELOC . my house was appraised at 195,000. your web site says i'm only worth 139,000. WOW i want to sell my house within 12 months. i think your estimate may seriously hurt me. Response?

I see a lot of other people asking the same question. How do I delete my listing from zillow? This has been the worst marketing mistake I've ever made. Low-ball zillow home value estimates make potential buyers question and/or completely avoid contacting the sellers. What a shame and shame on zillow for trapping people into this site without apparent recourse.

My worst home marketing mistake? Zillow. The estimate zillow displays is way below the tax records for value. Yet, now that I'm sucked into it, I can't get out of it. Apparently, Zillow refuses to delete a listing from its database. Why not tell people that bad news ahead of time? Why not tell people that Zillow makes up its own estimates? You hurt people with your site. How cruel.

if i use a buyer agent for access to the mls and to show me houses, but never actually sign the b.a.g., then use my lawyer to write my offer, what recourse does that buyer agent have? i am in wisconsin, any buyer agents out there?

Time to upgrade?

We have a very basic house that we bought in 00. We have been in a financial position to upgrade for some time and really would like to. Are we crazy to consider upgrading homes at this time? My thought was that our own home is steeply discounted at approx $220K price, but the house we want to buy at, say, $320K would be even MORE steeply discounted, and at the lower dollar levels we are paying lower Realtor fees overall.
Am I nuts?

My listing at 1528 White Rock Ave has a zipcode of 53221 (Milwaukee) which is wrong. I'd like to have it changed to 53186 (Waukesha WI) which is correct. How can I get someone at Zillow to respond to my request?
