Why isn't there an option to call posted on the quote response?

From what it, on a quote response now it appears there are options to have the lender call or email, send a GFE, or to ask the lender a question, but no reference to calling the lender directly. Yet, if the borrower goes to the profile page, they'll see the Zillow-managed toll-free number there and can call it. (Interestingly, they've now added "this call is being recorded" language to the call where, at first, it didn't have it.

This change makes no sense. Why wouldn't you encourage the the OP to call from the response page, by posting the toll-free number there?

Incorrect Zestimate

Why does Zillow not update its Zestimate when it is clear that the Zestimate was based on the incorrect sq footage of 1988 (for a single story home) and does NOT agree to the public records of 3776 (for the tri-lvel home with finished basement). This LOW Zestimate detrimentally affects my ability to obtain a fair price for my home should the buyres see it and not investigae the facts and do a true market comparison.

Changing Zestimate

Zillow had many mistakes on the sq. footage of the house, as well as how many bedrooms. Even before any additions to the house, your sq footage is completely wrong, it was never 1998. I have gone into the website and changed sqf to match county records. It is now showing up on Zillow, however, the zestimate is still based on the incorrect sqf. How do we go about changing the zestimate to reflect the change with the new sqf. I am in the process of selling this home and the information on Zillow is impeding on my rights to get a fair price based on my sqf. Please ensure hthat the zestimate is changed as soon as possible to reflect the price base on the new sqf.

Price reduced - Now $859,000

On 10/4/08, this house was shown on Zillow with a listing price of $1,150,000. However, the price shown on Realtor.com was $1,049,000.
On 10/11/08, the price on Realtor.com was reduced further to $998,000.
At some point in time after October 2008, this house was taken off the market.
On 7/3/09, (now back on the market) the price shown on Realtor.com was $899,000.
On 8/31/09, the price shown on ZipRealty.com was $859,000.

I signed a lock agreement (and application) with a broker, but didn't notice a clause in it, to the effect that if I don't close with them I'll need to pay 1% of the loan amount. The agent didn't point it out to me until I tried to back out, since some one else offered me a much better deal (.25% lower rate & 3K less closing).

Is this clause legally enforceable? I thought I had the right if rescussion.

Penalty to the consumer for breaking a lock

I guess I won't get any responses to my question from the other thread where borrower broke the lock and is being asked to honor a 1% penalty from the LO he wasn't aware of.

So I'll try again: What's the concensus on requiring a borrower to pony up? Is it being done more often now? Do you think most borrowers, being made aware of such a penalty, would choose not to go with that LO?

Anyone know what the current aver cost per sq ft is to build a home in Danville?

My insurance company just informed me that my coverage requirements have been "adjusted" based upon the new Marshall/Swift analysis. They have my new replacement cost at around $300 per sq ft (up from $220 per sq ft previously). That seems very high to me so I'm looking for thoughts from area professionals.

This was listed for sale as of July 3 for $525K. Also, the listing had the square footage as 1,916.
