Zillow's Real Estate Values = Nonsense

How can our home's value go from $350,000 to $452,000 between July-September, then suddenly drop $30,000 in October? Zillow's real estate values are so out of whack I have no idea how anyone can believe or trust a word they print.

Townhouse or Condo?

What differentiates a condo from a townhouse? I know some lenders will charge more for condos. I have a property (investment property) that I'm looking to refinance. There are 124 units in the community. There are a total of 5 units in my building. All units are 2 stores, with none above or below another unit (all side by side). I have an end unit and only have a single common wall.
Is it a condo or a townhouse?

I've asked abut this before and basically get responses from people who work for and defend Zillow, but someone explain how our home goes from $368,000 to $452,000 while the market flounders, then as it rebounds, the value plummets $45,000 over a period of about 6 weeks. It certainly does not instill much confidence in the Zillow methodology. We're not selling but the numbers are so out of whack it's ridiculous.

That's because his "answers" are really nothing more than a form of defense for his employer: Zillow.

Today he provided the incredibly lame response to ridiculously out of whack Zillow evaluations by stating that they are just a "starting point"...whatever that's supposed to mean. I supposed when one finds their home valued at $200,000 by Zillow they should assume that means it could be worth $200,000, but hey...maybe not. Maybe it's really worth $1,000,000...but Zillow just thought the $200,000 number would be a good place to "start?"

Our home's (Zillow) value, over the months when real estate was plummeting, went up from $368,000 to $452,000, and now, as the market is actually rising, it's plummeted back to $418,000. I don't believe the Zillow system is the least bit accurate.
