Advice needed.... have a home that is worth less than we owe and we'd like to move...? help.

our home was purchased 1 year ago and has lost about 50,000 in value. We'd like to move to a better neighborhood/bigger house. We don't really have a downpayment either. Are we just stuck until the market picks up?

HOA has all units pay the same amount. 1 bd 900sq ft, 3 bd pay the same. How we chg to sq. ft.?

Penthouse has 3 bdrm, bar area, 3 huge balconies. One bdrm, 1 bath, one 8' balcony, tree blocking the view, leaves all over. We have tried for 2 years for us to have a balcony completed and tree at least trim. Board members turned our request down. We weren't even put on the list of next things to do. We pay the same amount of HOA fees, as the Penthouse of $380. a month. HOA is raising this cost to be $425.00. Does any one know how to start an amendment to the CCR's? Or how do you start asking for the sq. ft. rate? PLEASE HELP!

Bidding War in Long Beach

With the economy the way it is, why is there such a bidding war for homes in Long Beach, Ca and surrounding cities? I would think it's a buyers market but from the looks of things, it's a sellers market. There are multiple bids per property and going above asking price. What is wrong with this picture???

Also, Long Beach has dropped approx 20%-25% in home values, how much lower can it go next year? Any thoughts?

I recently had 2 appraisals done on my home and under the comps, one appraiser valued swimming pools at 35K, another valued them at 10K. What is the more typical value/range for swimming pools (less spas)??

According ZESTIMATE?:

to the Value Range is $1,287,820 - $1,641,617

Its listed at For Sale: $1,289,000

Is the Price too High or Has the Belmont Shore area FLAT LINE?
