Our house is in escrow, and we're expected to pay commission for both ours and seller's agent. Turns out, both agents are in the same office. What rate would be reasonable now? Should our agent have pointed out that maybe rate should be negotiated once this happened?

Hello, my wife and i own a $95,000.00 house that has only $15,000.00 left on the mortgage. my question is..would it be advisable to get a home equity loan or sell the house outright because we are looking to buy the house across the street from a friend of ours who wants to sell it to us. our current house is in parela sosa, guzman abajo in rio grande puerto rico.
