I have no credit! But my husband's is excellent-what are our likely mortgage options?

I never have had a credit card or loan (or needed either). When I try to check my credit online, no information is found. My husband however has excellent credit. How will our credit situation affect are our mortgage prospects? We do have enough cash for a 20% down payment and we need both our incomes to qualify for the amount we need to borrow.

The property shown is actually 298 Briar Road. It is now a vacant lot. The house was demolished about 5 years ago.

The house for 127 Polo Park Dr is in Sudden Valley, not on North Shore Drive. Sudden Valley is South East of this photo. The house is located on the corner of Blaze Ct and Polo Park Dr in Sudden Valley, Bellingham WA 98229 The public facts are correct but the schools are wrong - Elementary is Geneva....

Wrong House in photo

I own the house at 2324 Williams Street, Bellingham, WA. You do not show the correct house in the photo. The enlarged photo barely shows the southern half.

Therefore, it is hard to know if you valued the house correctly.

Also, there is a house at 223 North Govan, Sequim, WA and your system says no. Please check that as well.

Zillow keeps mixing the listing of a lot nextdoor w my house. My facts & map, their address & pric?

I have tried mutiple times to get Zillow to fix a glitch where a lot next door is being mixed up with my home and home facts. Zillow shows the lot's accruate address and price listing, but then shows a map with the icon on my house and with my home facts coming up. How can I contact someone at Zillow to fix this?

How to delete old listing picture?

I'm a realtor that has taken over a "for sale by owner" listing and needs to delete the old listing's main picture. Can someone do this for me or is there a way I can do it? The adress of the property is: 725 Racine St Bellingham, WA 98229.

September Real Estate Report for Bellingham and Whatcom County

Real estate sales in Whatcom County for the 3rd quarter of the year bucked the trend of the first 2 quarters and saw the number of home sales hold or rise slightly from 2008. September was unusually strong, beating the sales numbers for August. Unfortunately, median prices did not follow suit, dropping slightly in Bellingham but more than 10% in the County as a whole. A few details of September sales relative to last year:

•Total Whatcom County sales were up by 13%, with Blaine/Birch Bay leading the pack with a 54.5% increase in the number of homes sold and Ferndale close behind with a 41% increase.

•Lynden is still struggling, with a 6.3% drop in sales and a 20% drop in the average sales price.

•Nooksack Valley prices managed to maintain last year's levels, but every other area of the County dropped – down 9.9% to 20.4%.

Inventory levels continue to fall, which is normal for this time of year, and pending numbers increased again this month, which is not normal for this time of year. It looks as though a few more of these pending sales are translating into solds, based upon the higher September sales numbers, and if we look at the price distribution of those sales, we can see why the average and median prices have fallen. As the table below shows, the under $300,000 portion of the market in Bellingham increased by 7.5% from September of last year, but the pricing in that segment of the market dropped by 9%. This provided a double hit to the median and average prices.

building piers today

Today's piers are generally still built in wood although there is a trend developing in building with other materials such as aluminum and steel.
Many people choose to build with wood found, in stock, at the local lumber yards.
Species of wood like the pressure treated hemlock fir should be avoided.
In addition to being soft it is not a great addition for the watershed.
If your body of water allows for pressure treated wood ask for douglas fir or doug fir glue lam beams.. If pressure treated materials are not allowed then consider yellow cedar or port orford cedar.

Since this is a real estate site I will make this very clear.
Deferred maintenance is lowest with a metal pier. Aluminum piers are very low maintenance and can be built off site and put into place without heavy equipment.
The price is similar to wood and a fascia board can be wrapped around the perimeter if you do not like the aluminum color.
Aluminum piers attach to piles ( bents ) like any other pier. Galvanic effect is compensated by the use of insulators.

So for all those who are considering buying a house with a pier in need of repair or are looking to put in a pier this might be of relevance.

You have our house 2918 Iowa Drive Bellingham WA 98229-4101 on the maps way down the street like 2900. the address 2918 Iowa Drive should have Erie Street and Nigarea Street pointing at the house. Can you correct these?? Thanks, Jerry Price

Why is my single family residence not listed on Zillow?

My home was built in 2000, and my intire neighborhood is listed on Zillow including both next door neighbors, but my home does not come up. It is clearly visible in the satelite photo, but no home information. The address is:

3630 Illinois Lane, Bellingham, WA 98226

What can be done to have my home listed so I am able to track value over time?

Marina Lane extended to the cul de sac. Marina Circle was a loop off of Marina Lane. Zillow has always had that the cul de sac is on Marina Circle. Wrong. Marina Circle was a horse shoe. Marina Lane was a J. Understood? A month ago, the Sudden Valley Community Association changed many street names. Marina Lane became Longshore Lane. So, my address is 31 Longshore Lane, at the beginning of the cul de sac, somewhat uphill from what was formerly Marina Circle. Understood?
