Higher appraisal for standard one family or mother/daughter?

Looking to refinance in near future, but concerned if house will appraise as high as Zillow value (which would be fine). Would the same house be appraised higher as a mother/daughter than a straight single-family? Would the refinance be different?

Refinance mortgage now or under modification program in 2 mths?

I am going to be laid off due to my company closing down in 3 mths. Should I scramble and try to refinance while I am still employed to lower our monthly payments? Would it be worthwhile to wait and try to refinance/modify our mortgage under government program once unemployed? We have second income of $45K and are current on all our loans with good FICO scores (700+).

Hi I will be selling soon. My house is on a corner lot in putnam lake. The picture you have are a bunch of houses all together. My house is basically alone with a beautiful view of the lake. It is right across the street from putnam lake.

Why would a house be valuated at a 25% below the same model in the same community?

Browsing through houses sold/for sale in my condominium in Zillow, I am finding that units with less structural upgrades and older are valuated higher than mine. An identical model ( only difference is HW floors) is 30% higher in price than mine. I noticed the sqft reported by Zillow is incorrect for my unit ( I corrected it ) but some of the more expensive units even have less sqft? This is a problem when I put the house in the market. Appreciate any ideas, suggestions that can help me with this.
