Our neighbor's house is exactly the same as ours, yet their house is valued $80,000 higher. Why?

Their house was built just 6 months after ours was built and is next door to us. The lot is almost identical in size. How could Zillow value their house $80,000 more than ours, and how can I go about getting this corrected in case we want to sell?

I have gotten notifications that someone is interested in my home and when i reply it keeps kicking it back undeliverable. Why? I got an email for the 3rd time from the same person and can't respond. Is there a number I can call for zillow about this issue?

My 2 next door neighbors houses have not depreciated like mine has according to zillow. I don't understand how that is possible. Both of my neighbors are renters none the less...with out of town owners who have not made home improvements.

Quick Scenario:

We are looking fo rour first home to purchase in Tennessee. Currently we live in Antioch and we both are scattered with our jobs. I work in Brentwood, he works in Rivergate, our 5 year old son, who is in private school so school is not a factor, goes to school in the nashville/Antioch area. We both attend MTSU in Murfreesboro and we have no idea where to start looking for homes that would be convient for everything.

I love the downtown location however I am unaware of what streets are decent etc. We need somethign that I wont have to be worried sick if my son is outside playing in the backyard.

We are looking in the 150K area and need atleast 3 bed/2 bath with some sort of yard for the dog. Preferably 1500 sq ft.+

Any help on location primarily.

I have a 204K loan at 6% with LPMI in good standing. Zillow values the home at about 230K and I suspect it would appraise for a little more (it appraised for 240K 2.5 years ago when we bought it). FICO is between 700-710. The loan is owned by Fannie Mae, but serviced by Wells Fargo. I called them today to ask about refinancing under the Making Home Affordable (or whatever govt. program is out there) and they said yes my loan is owned by Fannie and yes they are doing LPMIs now, but my loan is not eligible. I pressed for a specific reason, but the person I spoke with didn't have one and said there was no one he could transfer me to that could give me one? He said the rates for those weren't much better than I had. Am I somehow ineligible b/c I'm not behind or in trouble? I looked into a traditional refi 6 mos ago and could get 4 7/8 on 30yr fixed, but with PMI it wasn't worth it. Should I just hold what I've got? Thanks!
