Quick Scenario:

We are looking fo rour first home to purchase in Tennessee. Currently we live in Antioch and we both are scattered with our jobs. I work in Brentwood, he works in Rivergate, our 5 year old son, who is in private school so school is not a factor, goes to school in the nashville/Antioch area. We both attend MTSU in Murfreesboro and we have no idea where to start looking for homes that would be convient for everything.

I love the downtown location however I am unaware of what streets are decent etc. We need somethign that I wont have to be worried sick if my son is outside playing in the backyard.

We are looking in the 150K area and need atleast 3 bed/2 bath with some sort of yard for the dog. Preferably 1500 sq ft.+

Any help on location primarily.

My 30 day zillow house value went down 12,500. My neighbors -500 and +11000. How can that be?

My 2 next door neighbors houses have not depreciated like mine has according to zillow. I don't understand how that is possible. Both of my neighbors are renters none the less...with out of town owners who have not made home improvements.

I have lived here 25 years and have never had 5 bathrooms. I don't know how to corrrect that or what generates that.

Thank you to all the professionals that responded to my question on Subject. Apparently the credit score is not the problem but the fact that we had a short sale with our property last September 2008 and although there is nothing derogatory on our credit about that and we don't owe anything to the bank some of your responses were to wait 2 more years to qualify for a loan.
I guess there's no way out. We'll keep renting.
