We have been back in our condo after living out of state for a year and a half. If we wait until September, we will have been here 2 years...eliminating the need to pay capital gains taxes. We have a house we want to move back to that is being rented right now. We are slightly upside down on the house and it has an adjustable mortgage that begins adjusting in October 2010.

Litigation between HOA vs Developer = ALL CASH offers only now???

I was in the process of placing an offer for a loft property in Downtown LA today (Bartlett Building, short sale), when my broker called and notified me that the listing was recently updated and they were only accepting cash offers now. The listing agent informed him that there was an ongoing lawsuit between the HOA and developer, which is why they were not accepting any financing. Can someone please explain this to me? How does this affect the bank and homeowners?

I have 20% to put down and have already been approved for much more than the listing price, but no one wants my money! As far as additional information, I spoke with the doorman today and he told me he estimates about 70% of the residents (140 units) actually own, which is pretty good for DTLA.

How do I set my home page Zillow to default to my house?

When I bring up Zillow, it displays a house in my neighborhood that I was watching a while back. I don't know if I mistakenly did something to make it default to make Zillow open up with the the neighborhood house, but I can't figure out how to change it to my own. Thanks.
