Percentage "in escrow"? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Number-of-homes-available-in-your-area-Percentage-in-escrow/355887/ I also just heard on NPR that about 31% of California home sales in 2010 are now distressed sales (ie: in one stage or another of foreclosure). What is your current supply of homes in your town or area? Please identify where you are located. Let's compare notes on what is really happening in our areas...Thanks again. I got an interesting situation maybe you can help me on. Bought a home (primary) for $940K in 2007 that is now worth probably $840K. I have two loans. A $752K Interest Only at 6.75% and a $92K piggyback at 8.25%. The IO resets in 2017 and the piggyback balloons in 2022. I'd love to take advantage of low rates and get into a normal fixed loan but have hit a wall. Talked to both lenders and several brokers and get the same story (i.e: NO). Basically my choices are to continue to pay interest-only until I move which will have to be before 2017, stop paying (won't do this as I signed a contract which I take seriously) or just send in the keys when I'm done with it (don't like this choice either). If I was to sell today I'd take a $50+K hit to pay the broker's fees and closing costs which seems like a bad idea and waste of money. If I wait it may never come back up so I'm still paying a Realtor out of pocket to get rid of it (at that point doesn't it make sense to just walk away even though my credit get's hit?) I want to do the right thing but obviously the gov't isn't about helping me (I get it, I don't REALLY need their help). Any suggestions on who to talk to? My end game is to get into a 30 yr fixed preferably at a lower payment and stay in the house for a long time...<br \><br \>4 replies Tue, 27 Apr 2010 17:28:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Jumbo-loan-with-a-piggyback-refi/347413/ 2010-04-27T17:28:00Z what is the average cost to rebuild in zip 94941-3776? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/what-is-the-average-cost-to-rebuild-in-zip-94941-3776/340296/ 3 BR / 2 Bath / single level / no garage <br \><br \>2 replies Fri, 02 Apr 2010 23:04:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/what-is-the-average-cost-to-rebuild-in-zip-94941-3776/340296/ 2010-04-02T23:04:00Z Any tips for getting a construction loan that is about 1/3 of purchase price? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Any-tips-for-getting-a-construction-loan-that-is-about-1-3-of-purchase-price/197308/ 0 replies Mon, 09 Feb 2009 06:02:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Any-tips-for-getting-a-construction-loan-that-is-about-1-3-of-purchase-price/197308/ 2009-02-09T06:02:00Z
