there isn't any. However Zillow is reflecting it on VA quotes unless you check off as lender paid. The problem is that that isn't accurate either; it isn't lender paid; there simply isn't any monthly mortgage insurance.

Whether to Refinance or not? What are the TRUE COSTS?

My appraisal came in at $360,000. My loan value is $309,000. I qualify for the fannie mae refinance plus. But I don't want to impound my taxes and insurance as I want to pay them on my own. My current rate is 5.625% with 28 years left. I am considering for a 4.875 % 25 year fixed no cost loan. All fees are paid by lender. Should I refinance by paying of $21000 of loan amount to bring the loan down to 80% of value? Is this a GOOD move?

I am looking to refinance my first mortgage on my primary residence. I have my mortgage with Chase but Fannie Mae owns it. I owe 400K and the value of the house is about 330K. Chase proposes a streamline value refi but the rate is 5.65%. I was doing my homework and found that you can refi through HARP up to 125% LTV and the rates are about 4.5 - 4.75 APR no points. I have a second mortgage with Chase for 60K. What would you recommend to do?

My current payments are really do-able, and my interest rate is nearly a full percent lower than most of what I see available....My condo value (according to zestimate) is 15% lower than when I purchased, and I'm worried that if rates go up while value is still falling, I may not have enough loan to value ratio to qualify for refinancing later. But, I really don't want to pay fees and higher interest rate just to lock in. Refi calculators don't seem to work for the situation I'm in.

I here in the US living abroad and currently a citiizen of Scotland. I have a good paying job here but no credit as well as a American girlfriend who does not work. I have about 20% in cash to use as a downpayment but having trouble finding lenders willing to give me a pre approval for a loan. Any suggestions on what I can do in order to buy a house?

I have 720 credit score and I am a first time buyer I never purchased any loans with my credit besides a car that I recently purchased, I would like to know how much down payment do I need to put to purchase a home I was told by an agent that I need to put down 20% but that is very unlikely that someone would have lets say 100k laying down somewhere to purchase a 500k house.

Can you please let me know the truth as to how much do I need?

We're looking for any program that offers a very low down payment option or at least a program that lets us include the down payment as part of the loan. Loan amount is $500K. Property is in Northern California. Credit scores between 650 & 680 with no derogatory info. Good secure job with an annual income of $140k / stay @ home wife by choice. Unfortunately we learned the benefits of saving for a rainy day a little too late. Any one know of a good mortgage broker that can help us? A friend recommended an FHA loan with something called an "ACCESS" loan!!!!! Thanks.

My first is due to adjust. I only want to refi my first and it will be below 80 LTV of the house if I don't include my 2nd mortgage. My goal is to avoid paying mortgage insurance. Is this possible?
