Recently did streamline FHA streamline to lower rate and payment.

Today, a friend encouraged me to get an appraisal as a number of homes have sold well in my neighborhood lately and although I've only knocked off around $10k from principal on my original loan amount- I'd be close to 80/20. Loan value is $218k and Zillow shows $288k. I know Zestimates aren't the bible for RE pricing, but I do feel my home was underappraised when I originally purchased because there were few, if any, comparables in a close range of my home. I feel like the appraiser just "winged it" and coincidentally match the appraisal price to my purchase price he had in front of him. Since then, remodeled homes have sold well and quite a few older homes have been knocked down with larger ones built in place. I have one of the largest homes and lots in my neighborhood my a good margin, although I know that isn't always a good thing.

I thought I was locked into MIP for the life of my FHA loan unless I refinanced into conventional, no matter the LTV ratio.

Who is right? The pre-approval is for 96,662.00 Problem is they don't offer loans for manufactured homes. I have found a property for 26000 on the HUD website. It does need quite a bit of work. It is listed as UI and has the 100 down incentive. I am unsure at this point if i will be using the home as a primary residence or if I'll be fixing it up to rent out. ..so my safest bet would probably be to purchase as an investor and obtain a 203k loan (it is eligible) I do not at this point have a real estate agent. ...but I'm open to recommendations. ....but my main question is where can i find a great lender in my area that is willing to lend for this home ..considering it's a mobile home(it is located in ..also, if no lenders will offer a loan for manufactured housing. ..is it possible for me to get a loan for just the land it is on. .since the asking price is must likely close if not less than the value?
