A replacement cleanout cap indicates there has likely been a sewer blockage or tree roots in the sewer line in the past. If your home inspector finds a replacement cap on cleanout of the sewer line should this be reported even if there are no obvious ongoing sewer problems?

Is nearby development grounds to void purchase agreement?

We are currently under contract on a home and just learned that an apartment building is being constructed approximately 500 feet from the property we're purchasing.

Is this grounds enough to void the purchase agreement? Does our research on the nearby properties fall under the "inspection" clause? The seller and his realtor are trying to tell us it is not.

We're concerned both about the aesthetics of a 3-4 story apartment building in view, as well as its impact on our property value and ability to re-sell in the future.

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

I would like to buy a home located at: 101 Jay St. Scotia, NE 68875
The home needs a lot of work but I am willing to fix it up. How do I find out how much the home is worth online? Can I look up what the property taxes are online?
