I don't make a lot of money, however I have a sizeable down payment. The problem is my car payment is too high and increases my income/debt ratio (it is my only debt). A lower payment will allow me to qualify for a higher mortgage loan. Would refinancing my car loan to get a lower monthy payment cause problems for me when I try to qualify for a mortgage loan?

3 replies Mon, 16 May 2011 01:17:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Lowering-my-debt-ratio/399104/ 2011-05-16T01:17:00Z Switching jobs and expanding career field before applying for mortgage http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Switching-jobs-and-expanding-career-field-before-applying-for-mortgage/499859/
Can anyone expand on the "same line of work" concept.
