FHA? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Construction-Loan-First-time-Buyer-660-TransUnion-Self-Employeed-Can-put-20-30-Down-FHA/537705/ I just bought 10 acres of land outside of Belton, MO. and looking over the next 3-6 months to start building a house on the land. I have great income and a small business owner, but in 2008 due to a business partner had some hick-ups (*Which is why I started the new company, and since then Boom!).. Have been working with a Law Firm to clean the Credit up.. Currently have 660 with Transunion, 606 with Experian, and 601 with Equifax. Wondering if anyone knows a broker I can talk to about getting a construction loan, or might even look at the new modular homes like www.wardcraft.com to put a house on the land for my family.. Looking at something in the 250k range.. Would not have an issue putting 25% down or so to make this happen, and have already secured the land.. This would be a first time home purchase for me (Even though it is construction) so not sure if I would qualify for some sort of FHA loan to get this approval, and whether a normal stick built house or a new fangled modular house would make approval easier... Look forwardto hearing your thoughts on if financing is possible or even referals for mortgage brokers. I obviously do not want to put a million inquires on my credit as I am just getting it back headed in the right direction.. Want someone who knows how to get a loan like this done! Thanks - Garrett

5 replies Wed, 23 Apr 2014 22:01:00 GMT http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/Construction-Loan-First-time-Buyer-660-TransUnion-Self-Employeed-Can-put-20-30-Down-FHA/537705/ 2014-04-23T22:01:00Z What are the chances of getting approved wiht a credit score of 590? http://www.zillow.com/advice-thread/What-are-the-chances-of-getting-approved-wiht-a-credit-score-of-590/472956/
We have a steady income, decent income, but even though we paid off our debt our credit score is poor. If we put 9 grand down on a down payment for a 50,000 home loan do we have a good chance?
