Property taxes for new home purchase

I have received conflicting information as to how the property value is determined for property tax purposes here in Miami. On the one hand, I was told that when I record my purchase, the appropriate taxing authority will use my purchase price as the basis for property tax from that point going forward.

However I was told by a realtor that the taxes are based on current assessed value on the tax roles. I can request a reassessment but this could take up to two years based on the current backlog of these requests according to the realtor.

This would have a huge impact on my decision on whether or not to purchase. Many of the homes I am considering have current annual property taxes of ~$10K compared to the ~$4K that I would owe based on what the purchase price would be.

Can I get a front photo of my address? I only get a side view.

How often do you update the pictures? When I type in my address it gives me a West Side View and NOT the Front View facing North. It gives no justice to the home. I have a neighbor on the West Side during photography and all you can see is all of the cunstruction workers vehicles on my yard. Is it possible for them to tweek the photos in the future? I want the pictures to portray the front of my address. The home has been totaly redone on the outside since the last photo. I thank you, in advance for your response.

Stonewood has an association, and the dues are very reasonable. The $200 a year helps to maintain the integrity of the community and keep it beautiful. All of the lots in Stonewood are over-sized, and are more than 1/4 acre to 1 full acre. The neighborhood is very well maintained and there is a nice park within walking distance. Stonewood is very close to the new Publix located near the Tamiami Airport.

It's where everyone from all different walks of life come together as one. It's mostly warm (or Hot) but really nice during the winter months. Many Places to go, go, go like South Beach and the Art Deco district. Surrounded by Miami Beach Marina, The Wolfsonain-FIU, Flamingo Park & Tennis Center, Lincoln Road, Lincoln Theater, Shops, Dining, Jackie Gleason Theater, Miami Beach Convention Center, Holocasust Memorial & more. North of that you move into North Bay Village then into the famous Bal Harbour area & Shops.
