"Best kept secret" in the Bay area

Through the years, I've visited Alameda frequently, admiring its many vintage homes, especially Victorians. After living in various cities including San Francisco, I opted to live in Alameda for several reasons:

* Almost always sunny

* Picturesque neighborhoods

* Friendly atmosphere

* Wealth of activities for people of all ages

* Easy access to the other Cities --- feels like a suburb of San Francisco. Take the ferry or the express bus to the City

* Believe it or not, fabulous number of fine restaurants

* Trader Joe's, and more new shops like Bed Bath & Beyond, Old Navy, TJMaxx, Nob Hill

* Bike paths (and all flat!)

* Comparatively speaking, more affordable housing than the City

Have many clients who opt to move here from the City and are very happy they did!

Small Town, Big City

I love the small-town feel of Alameda. It's the perfect place for people wanting to have the more relaxed pace of a small town accompanied by easy access to big city thrills.

When my wife and I moved to California from a small Canadian city 13 years ago, Alameda really felt like home.
