What do you think about the new Town Square?

I grew up in Burien and have seen the city go through many changes and developments over the years. The plans for the new Town Square will cause some of the most dramatic changes that the town has ever seen.

I'm excited about the growth and vibrancy that Town Square will bring to downtown Burien, but I also hope that the city will maintain its down-to-earth character. Here are some thoughts:

- I'm still getting used to the idea of condos on 152nd. (Will we become "yuppified"? I hope not...)

- The opportunity to showcase more public art and create friendlier community spaces is very exciting! 152nd has definitely become more comfortable for pedestrians in the past few years. The new restaurants and shops are excellent as well!

- I hear the Burien Library will be relocated to the Town Square. Is this still true? I'm a bit nostalgic about the old building, since it was the library I visited as a child. But larger space with easier access is something I can't complain about!

What are your thoughts about the developments in downtown Burien?
